In the legislature, Eddie has led on some of Iowa’s most pressing challenges—especially in mental health and education. He played a key role in expanding psychiatric residency programs, strengthening mobile crisis response teams, and providing better support for families facing mental health struggles.
Eddie has also been a strong voice for education, advocating for school choice and innovative programs that prepare Iowa’s youth for the demands of the 21st century. He successfully led efforts to raise teacher pay, expand educational options, and authored Iowa’s landmark Parental Rights Bill.

His leadership is rooted in a deep respect for parental rights, family safety, and fiscal responsibility. He has consistently defended the freedoms that make Iowa strong—including the First and Second Amendments—and delivered real results for taxpayers. Eddie helped pass the largest tax cut in state history, eliminating the estate and retirement income taxes and easing the financial burden on hardworking families and small businesses.
Now, Eddie is running for Governor of Iowa to bring his proven leadership to the highest office in the state. His campaign centers on real, actionable priorities that will make Iowa a safer, stronger, and more prosperous place for all families.
